Privacy Notice
Last updated: February 15, 2026
1. What Information We Collect
When you use the Franklin County Special Needs Transition Roadmap ("Tool"), you provide the following information through our intake form:
- ZIP code
- Child's age
- General disability category
- Whether your child has an IEP
- Current benefit status (SSI, Medicaid)
- General household income range
We do NOT collect names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, medical records, addresses, email addresses, or any other personally identifiable information.
2. How Your Information Is Used
Your answers are used solely to generate a personalized transition timeline and downloadable PDF roadmap. The information is processed entirely within your web browser and on our server for PDF generation only.
3. Data Storage and Retention
We do not store your intake form answers on any server or database. Your answers are held temporarily in your browser's session storage and are automatically deleted when you close the browser tab. When you generate a PDF, your answers are sent to our server, used to create the document, and immediately discarded — they are not saved, logged, or retained.
4. Cookies and Tracking
This Tool does not use cookies, analytics services, advertising trackers, or any third-party tracking technology. We do not track your activity or create user profiles.
5. Data Sharing
We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose your information to any third parties. Your answers are not transmitted to any government agency, advertiser, or other organization.
6. Children's Privacy
This Tool is designed to be used by parents, guardians, and caregivers — not by children directly. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The information collected relates to a child's general characteristics (age, broad disability category) as provided by a parent or guardian for the purpose of generating an informational roadmap.
7. Security
Because we do not store your personal information, there is no database of user data that could be compromised. Your answers exist only temporarily in your browser session. We recommend clearing your browser history if you are concerned about others seeing your activity on a shared device.
8. Changes to This Notice
We may update this Privacy Notice at any time. Continued use of the Tool after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated notice.
